BACK TO SCHOOL WITH A THIRD FLOOR
As we in the States get geared up for another year so too are our Ecuadorian friends at Amor y Esperanza preparing for a new season of learning. We celebrate that on account of your generous gifts, and thanks in part to the hard work of summer teams from Whitefield and Trinity, Amor y Esperanza will have a brand new THIRD FLOOR to kick off this year! The third floor will make space for up to 100 new students to enroll in the school and receive a multifaceted education that includes rigorous academics, nutrition, and spiritual community. This is all truly a testament to the Lord’s provision - amen y amen!
KILOMETERS FOR QUITO IN SEPTEMBER
Each year the Love and Hope Foundation raises roughly half of its support for Amor y Esperanza through year end giving and Kilometers for Quito (KM4Q) in September. Historically, through KM4Q we aim to raise $10 for each of the 4,000 kilometers between Atlanta and Quito, totaling a goal of $40,000. Each kilometer is then physically run, walked, or rolled by our teams of volunteers, including many of you. Last year we far exceeded this goal! This year we’ve decided to make KM4Q a ROUND TRIP, doubling the target distance to 8,000 km and thus the new goal to $80,000.
Why the change? The success of the 3rd floor means more students. More students means more staff to bring on board, more scholarships to provide, more meals to prepare, and more security to enlist. For us it is an honor to continue to support kids with the opportunity to attend this school and we trust the LORD’S provision in this effort!
Teams are beginning to form now, and we would love you to join us as we run, walk, bike and roll for a good cause in September! THE ZOLAS IN ATLANTA
We are eager to have the Zola family back state-side, so please mark your calendars for August 16-26. There is a lot of work happening behind the scenes to set up opportunities for Pancho and Pitty to connect with supporters, old and new. Be on the lookout for details about specific gatherings!
