December 2024 Newsletter

Once again, December has rolled around and the Christmas season is upon us! As we move through this time of reflection on all the ways God has worked throughout the year, we pray you will include Amor y Esperanza in your year end planning and giving. This December, we invite you to Nurture Kingdom Growth at AyE by helping us raise seven months of support for our beloved school. Thank you for being part of the journey and helping us make a difference in Quito!

YEAR END CAMPAIGN KICK OFF - NURTURE KINGDOM GROWTH!

This past year saw the incredible blessing of an AyE dream fulfilled - the third floor was funded through generous 2023 year end giving and fully constructed by June. More students, families, and staff have been able to join the AyE community, to the delight of us all. However, more space, more students, and more staff requires more support from us! Check out the statistics above on our flyer. Remember, LHF provides about 50% of the operating budget for AyE.

So, our December fundraising goal is $140,000, equivalent to seven months of LHF support. Wouldn't it feel amazing to have your bills paid through July? God laid it on the hearts of Pancho, Pitty, and our board that the Lord has more in mind for us, and we cannot wait to see how He moves this month! Please join us in prayer that the right hearts and minds will be touched, that cheerful, generous donors will fill the needs of AyE and that blessing upon blessing will return upon those who heed the call! THE ZOLAS ARE HERE

We are thrilled that Pancho, Pitty and Maria Victoria are in Atlanta now through December 8! They have a busy schedule meeting with old and new friends, but please reach out to us at lhf.quito@gmail.com if you would like some time with them before they go - they would love to see you!

If you don't already, please follow LHF on Instagram and/or Facebook to stay up to date on the latest happenings and reach out to us via email with any questions!

A SCHOOL AND SO MUCH MORE, by Candace Daly

The heart of Amor y Esperanza is community transformation. Through the school, not only are students reached, but their families are also given the opportunity to experience the Father’s love and the hope that Jesus alone gives.

The gospel message is central to everything that happens at AyE, so the quality education, the beautiful architecture and furnishings, the cutting-edge technology--these are all expressions of the excellence of our King. Whenever parents and families visit AyE, they are brought into an atmosphere designed to announce the goodness of God and to invite everyone to experience His love and power. Throughout the school year, as parents and families attend special programs at the school or attend community gatherings held on the site, many accept the invitation to commit their lives to Jesus. Lives are gloriously changed and set on a course of holy transformation as mothers, fathers, and family members put their faith in Jesus.

In obedience to the Lord and with a desire to steward this growing community of new believers, Pancho and Pitty are launching a new church on the grounds of AyE! The Lord has already brought faithful pastors, leaders, and volunteers who have a heart to see these new disciples become grounded and strengthened in their faith. Praise God for the flourishing fruit that keeps abounding through the AyE mission that He established some 20 years ago.

Please pray for this new church. May the Carmen Bajo neighborhood become a shining light for Jesus in Quito through the salvation and discipleship of hundreds and thousands of precious souls. Absolutely, ‘This is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes.’ (Psalm 118:23)

From the youngest to the graduates, we pray abundant blessings on them all!
