YEAR END CAMPAIGN WRAP UP
Tremendous THANKS go out to each and every supporter of our beloved AyE! Whether you went on a mission trip to Quito, donated funds, joined us at an event or prayed for any aspect of our precious school so lovingly run by Pancho and Pitty - we could not do it without your support.
As you know, the boards of LHF and AyE prayed and were led to set a high goal for our December campaign - $140,000. This is equivalent to seven months of support that LHF sends to AyE to pay teachers and staff, along with other school expenses. At this time, we still have a check or two in the mail that have been designated as a Year End donation, but even without those contributions, we have reached $111,000! Next month we will update you on the final tally, but for now, please take a moment and PRAISE THE LORD for his faithfulness!! Every time we are called to step out in faith it is a challenge to put aside our human doubts, but with God all things are possible!
The success of this campaign provides some breathing room for us to focus on other aspects of support for AyE as well as longer-term financial planning. Your support is a blessing to Pancho and Pitty, as well as the teachers and students. THANK YOU!
Another way you can support the school is to follow LHF on Instagram and/or Facebook if you don't already! It's a great way to stay up to date on the latest happenings. Reach out to us via email with any questions!
A LEGACY OF FAITH, by Candace Daly
All through the Scriptures, God places a strong emphasis on families. Actually, from the very beginning He decided to put mankind into a family that would multiply and cover the earth with the blessing and abundance of heaven. Not even man’s sin or satan’s treachery altered this glorious plan.
King David the psalmist, inspired by the Lord, wrote, “Each generation will praise your works to the next and proclaim your mighty acts.” (Psalm 145:4). The Old Testament ends with God’s promise to turn the hearts of fathers and children back to each other so that blessings instead of curses would prevail on earth. (Malachi 4:6).
During Pancho and Pitty’s December visit to Atlanta, God’s heart for the generations was on full display. In meeting after meeting, parents and their children experienced the presence of the Holy Spirit together.
At a dinner hosted by the Hemphill family, over 50 parents and students were in attendance and were led into a time of mutual prayer for one another.
Trinity church hosted a luncheon where Ecuador Mission Team (EMT) alumni, parents and younger siblings were able to hear and become collectively excited about the Amor y Esperanza School.
The Zola's daughter, Mavi, was instrumental in communicating the heart of AyE to the dean of Samford University, and Mateo Zola is studying finance in college, and soon will begin learning about the financial aspects of AyE.
In every aspect, the beauty of Psalm 145:4 is being exhibited through Pancho and Pitty, their children, EMT alumni, their parents, and younger siblings who are hearing about God’s wondrous works at Amor y Esperanza.
The Love and Hope growth campaign theme “Nurture Kingdom Growth” is being confirmed through the living testimonies of families building a legacy of faith as each generation experiences, demonstrates, and proclaims the awesome works of our God.
Photos from the Eastside Christian School trip to Quito last week!
Praising the Lord for this new connection and thankful for the time together teaching, praying, learning, laughing and drawing closer to our Abba, Father. These students came back to Georgia using words like, "life changing, impactful, grateful, adventurous, kindest community I've ever met" to describe their experience. Quoting the Eastside Christian Instagram page "Our students and teachers were profoundly impacted by the joy and love that is a part of every aspect of the school there" and came away with a "deepen[ed] awareness of the way God is working in His church around the world." What a testimony!
How can you partner with Amor y Esperanza?
Pray! Current needs are:
Lives transformed in the Carmen Bajo community
Staff & students' health, safety and growth at AyE
