April 2024 Update

Happy April! We hope everyone had a beautiful Easter weekend celebrating our risen Savior! In this newsletter we will update you about the last month of our Evergreen Initiative, introduce you to our newest board member and share the latest progress of the third floor building project in Quito. ¡Vamos!

EVERGREEN INITIATIVE

April is the third and last month of our campaign for new sustainable givers! Is today the day you decide to click below and help Amor y Esperanza on a monthly basis? What you might perceive as "small" will be merged with other gifts and used for supporting the work of building God's kingdom at our beloved school. As an added incentive, we will put all of the names of new monthly supporters (including those who signed up the last two months) into a raffle for a $100 101 Steak gift card! At the end of April we will draw a winner, so before then please pray through an amount that makes sense for you to gift to Amor y Esperanza on an ongoing basis. THANK YOU to everyone who has locked arms with us and who already support us regularly. During dry seasons, especially summer months, you allow Amor y Esperanza to remain “Evergreen”, i.e., confident in the availability of resources to continue the mission of transforming lives and communities for Christ, through academic excellence, nutritional support, and spiritual guidance.

3rd FLOOR PROGRESS

What a blessing to see the continued progress of construction on the third floor! By the end of this month, Phase 1 of the project is on track to be complete - All glory to God! The school is now at the point of making some of the more "fun" decisions, such as paint colors and finishes. Phase 2 will begin as the summer approaches, allowing the different mission teams to contribute to the work and make a meaningful impact through their labor. Please remember - to everyone who supports AyE financially or through prayer - these are your gifts at work! You see Pancho and his daughter, Maria Victoria, under the new roof in the photo above, and the new elevator in the photos below. Thank you LORD and thank you supporters!

INTRODUCING CANDACE DALY - NEW BOARD MEMBER!

Join us in welcoming Candace to the Love and Hope Foundation board! She is a Spanish teacher who originally learned about AyE during her time at Whitefield Academy. After chaperoning the summer mission trip to Quito in 2018, she vividly recalls the impact of the Zola family ministry on herself and many other students and families. She is excited to be a part of the strengthening and expansion of AyE's mission, and feels privileged for this opportunity to serve a cause that is preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ in a way that brings salvation to individuals and ultimately transformation to families and communities. Candace is originally from North Carolina, is a mother to three and enjoys reading, traveling, and writing Bible study materials to encourage others in the faith. "I want to spread the word about Amor y Esperanza so that many more people can be involved in praying for and supporting this great work. If the skills I've gained as a mom, teacher, or writer can be used to uplift and promote AyE, I'm thrilled and gratefully humbled to offer them."
