February 2024 Update
Is it just us, or is January always the longest month ever?! But here we are, and already February is flying by! In this newsletter you will find an update from AyE - a distressing event followed by a blessing! - as well as the launch of our Evergreen Initiative λ. Read on for all the details.
Last week, we received word from Pancho and Pitty that upon arrival at school on Monday, rivers of water greeted them! After a dry spell, Quito endured a weekend of heavy rain. Due to the construction on the third floor, the rain found a way in. But instead of throwing their hands up in despair - we know Pancho and Pitty! - they prayed and got right down to work. Everyone, including the students, teachers, and staff, helped dry up the water from the auditorium, bathrooms, classrooms and kitchen. What a wonderful illustration of teamwork and leading by example! It was evident that completing the new roof and closing up the construction is now on an enhanced timeline. So...even though this unfortunate event happened, our blessings remain abundant: no major damage occurred, everyone quickly rallied together for cleanup, and due to our successful Year End Campaign, "rainy day" funds were actually available for a truly rainy day! Thank you, Lord!
Love and Hope Foundation is delighted to launch our Evergreen Initiative λ! This is a concerted effort over the next couple of months to increase the number of our monthly donors - at any level. The λ symbol after the words is a lower case Greek lambda, which means, "continuous" or "constant." Why is this Evergreen Initiative λ important?
